These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Luma. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
What Luma is, and is not
Luma is a voice-first AI companion for emotional support and reflection. It is not therapy. It is not a medical or psychological service. It is not a substitute for a licensed clinician, and it cannot diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency number.
Age requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use Luma. By signing up you confirm you are 16 or older. We will delete the account of any user we discover to be under 16.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure, anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You are responsible for any activity on your account. You can sign out from Settings.
Subscription, free tier, and renewals
The free tier includes unlimited text conversation and a daily voice allowance that resets at local midnight. Premium plans (weekly, monthly, yearly) unlock unlimited voice and additional voices. Subscriptions are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) at the price shown at checkout in your local currency. They renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel from your Apple ID or Google Play account.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google according to their respective policies, we do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com (iOS) or play.google.com/store/account (Android).
Acceptable use
Luma is a tool for personal reflection and support. Do not use it to attempt to extract harmful, illegal, or sexually explicit content. Do not use it to impersonate others, abuse the safety classifier, or attempt to access accounts that are not yours. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Luma is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, voice and AI services depend on third-party providers and the public internet. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luma and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profit arising out of your use of Luma. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or for harms that cannot be excluded under your local consumer law.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
